We’re seeking hospitality focused individuals for service counter and barista positions. Weekend and holiday availability is essential in our line of work, and often the most fun times to be on the clock! We value folks who are other-oriented, punctual, possess a solid work ethic, are upbeat and optimistic, ready to put down some roots and stay a while, and not afraid to work hard and have fun while doing so! Pay begins at $14.81 hourly plus tips (we tip out the whole house as we firmly believe that team work makes our dream work!).

Duties include:

Taking customer orders, using cash register and POS, learning the food and pastries we produce and enthusiastically sharing that info with our guests,, stocking and cleaning the cafe, preparing food and drinks, washing dishes, serving customers with a smile, and more. We are seeking a couple fun, detail oriented, thorough, hard working dishwashers to add to our team. Hours for this position are 10 AM- 3PM Wednesday through Sunday. This position is also responsible for walking the house, wiping down customer surfaces, organizing stock room, and helping with other light cleaning duties. Pay begins at $14.81 hourly plus tips. Bakers Needed

We are seeking full time bakers with previous professional baking experience. Scratch baking, sourdough, and lamination skills are a plus, though we are happy to teach the right candidate. We make EVERYTHING from scratch, bake our products fresh each day, and put a lot of care into our craft.

Early mornings, weekends, and holiday weeks are essential to this position. Opening baker shift starts at 4:30 am. Closing baker is done at 4:30 pm. Bakers cycle through both shifts throughout each week.

Pay is based on experience and begins at $16.00/hour plus tips; we tip out the whole house; Team work makes our dream work!.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, breads, and savory food items including soups, quiche, toast toppings, etc.,
    ensuring high quality and presentation standards.

  • Follow recipes accurately, including those for special dietary needs.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace.

  • Collaborate with other baking staff to plan and execute menu items effectively and efficiently.

  • Ensure proper food handling and safety practices are adhered to at all times.

GENERAL MANAGER NEEDED

We are seeking an experienced General Manager to join our team! Qualified Candidates have extensive hospitality-focused foodservice management experience, are passionate about people and positive leadership, are extremely detail oriented, demonstrate hard work and humility, are quality driven, maintain a vision for excellence in both product and service, and have a heart for our community. We’re looking for someone who wants to be in it with us for the long haul!

The hired candidate will execute the following duties:

* Partner in leadership with business owner and kitchen manager..
* Responsible for overseeing guest relations and actively leading FOH service staff in a spirit of hospitality and generosity.
*Ensuring Little Bird Bakeshop is in compliance with all local, state and federal laws and regulations for food safety, cleanliness and building safety
* Ensures bakery cleanliness and organization at all times
* Ensures the profitability of the bakery by effective and efficient planning and staff scheduling
* Makes data driven decisions for bakery operations/ growth
* Places orders for (but not limited to) ingredients, uniforms, dry goods, paper supplies, small wares, and office supplies
* Helps coordinate any maintenance for the bakery (plumbing, electrical, equipment etc.)
* Determines and implements operational improvements for high levels of productivity, quality, and customer service
* Investigates, documents, and resolves food quality and service complaints, maintaining an uncompromising commitment to quality and consistency
* Conducts interviews for additional bakery staff
* Trains and supervises employees holding them accountable to company rules, standards, and procedures
* Addresses, disciplines, and documents performance issues with employees including performance improvement, warnings, and terminations
* Develops weekly work schedules and approves time off and overtime requests. Maintains and controls efficiency in payroll budget with help from CFO
* Fills in when there is an employee absence that cannot otherwise be covered

This is a salaried position based on 40 onsite working hours per week, along with additional computer work as necessary. Pay begins at $55K/annually, based on experience and performance. Additionally, there is an annual bonus based on company pre-tax profits.
